What is Mansfield Tomorrow?

Mansfield Tomorrow is a townwide initiative to plan for and improve a range of town services and facilities and provide a vision for multiple aspects of the community. Multiple plans have been completed or are underway as part of this initiative. These include the Parks and Recreation Plan, Facilities Master Plan, and Northwest Mansfield Vision and Strategy Plan.

Recognizing the interconnected nature of different planning initiatives and organizations, Mansfield Tomorrow brings them together, breaking down silos and fostering collaboration. It is designed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of community planning efforts in our town.

One of the primary goals of Mansfield Tomorrow is to promote equity and meaningful public engagement. All plans conducted as part of the Mansfield Tomorrow initiative have a robust community engagement process that invites participation from a range of stakeholders.

The Plan of Conservation and Development
Informs all Mansfield Tomorrow Planning Efforts

The POCD serves as the Town’s primary policy framework for guiding land use, infrastructure investment, housing, economic development, and conservation efforts over the next ten years. The plan reflects extensive community engagement and input from boards, commissions, staff, and other stakeholders, and is the culmination of 18 months of work. On May 26, 2026, the Town Council endorsed the 2026 Draft Plan of Conservation and Development, and the plan was formally adopted by the Mansfield Planning and Zoning Commission on June 15, 2026 and became effective on July 13, 2026.
